St Brigid's Loughrea - 1-13 Scoil Ruain, Killenaule 0-12 Specialists St Brigid's powered their way past Scoil Ruain to chalk up their fourth All-Ireland Vocational Schools Senior Hurling title on the trot at Semple Stadium, Thurles, yesterday.

The Galway boys struggled in the first half against a lively Tipperary outfit but once Loughrea settled into their stride after the break they dominated.

A major upset had looked on the cards in the first half as Scoil Ruain forced the pace and led 0-10 to 0-5 at the interval, though they had been fortunate twice not to concede a goal.

The second half belonged to Loughrea. Inside 15 minutes they had turned the five-point deficit into a three-point lead. Niall Healy helped with a smashing goal in the 12th minute.
