Racing at Thurles this afternoon is dependent on an 8am inspection today and one man hoping for the green light will be Davy Russell who teams up with King Troy in the second division of the maiden hurdle.

Russell is closing in on a century of winners for the season and a win for King Troy would bring his total to 98, ten clear of his nearest rival for the jockeys' championship, Ruby Walsh.

The current champion is also set to be in action today but the best bet for Willie Mullins followers could be the newcomer Definitive Edge in the first bumper who will be ridden by the trainer's son, Patrick.
