It isn't often, if ever, that two international teams from Sweden visit the Irish capital within 48 hours of each other, but the Irish boxing team will, surely, take inspiration from the soccer team when the two countries meet in the National Stadium tonight.

Also on offer is the long-delayed national light welterweight final between Sean Barrett from the Rylane club in Cork and Francie Barrett from Olympic in Galway for the vacant Irish title.

That, in itself, should attract a good crowd, while the international contest also promises some interesting contests with six Irish champions and five Swedish title holders involved.
