After Tuesday night's Scottish Cup mishap against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, in which he had the misfortune to play, Celtic's Colin Healy must have wished he was back playing for Ballincollig, the Cork club he left for Glasgow in August 1998.

At least there was a happy end to the week for the Irish under-21 international - he scored his first goal for the club 60 seconds after coming on as a sub against Dundee on Saturday, lobbing into an empty net from 25 yards. He knew things could only get better, and he was right.

Our player of the week, though, is Manchester City's Mark Kennedy who, judging by the reports on his performance against Norwich on Saturday, would have been a contender for the award even before he scored twice in a minute near the end of the game to give City a 3-1 win. Norwich manager Bruce Rioch must have rued the day he introduced Kennedy to English football, when he signed him for Millwall as a 16-year-old.
