International Rules: Ireland were much sharper more focused and infinitely more accurate than their Australian counterparts, winning yesterday's under-17 international, 76-32, at Crossmaglen.

Inspired by Armagh duo JJ Clarke and Martin Ferris, Ireland landed six goals, Clarke grabbing three of them.

At the end of the first quarter Ireland led 21-10, before increasing their advantage to 37-18 at the halfway stage.

George Hannigan and Padraic O'Connor were also prominent as Ireland brushed aside any hint of an Aussie recovery by launching a scoring blitz in the last quarter.
