DERRY 1-7 ST MARY'S 0-14
Claudy's Aaron Kerrigan kicked 1-7 to fired Derry to a six-point victory over a lively looking St Mary's side in an open game at Owenbeg last night.
The Claudy forward shone brightly in the first in contributing all but one of his scores to help the home team recover from a sluggish start.
James Kearney started the Derry fight back with a free after a foul on the busy Niall McFeely before Kerrigan took over scoring a further 1-4 to the break, the goal coming after great work from Ciarán McGoldrick.
Substitute Ryan Johnston did interrupt the flow of scores but the university side still trailed by three points at the interval.
