WATERFORD SHC SEMI-FINALS/Ballygunner 1-15 Mount Sion 0-14:BALLYGUNNER WILL contest the Waterford decider for the first time since 2005 following their deserved four-point victory over Mount Sion in a yesterday's semi-final at Walsh Park.

After rifling over two points from placed balls, Ballygunner’s Paul Flynn went on a great solo run before delightfully flicking the ball to the net after seven minutes.

Mount Sion relied on the free-taking of both Ken McGrath and Martin O’Neill for long periods of the first half before points from Chris Ryan, Paul Hammond and Seán Ryan saw them trail by just a single point at half time, 1-6 to 0-8.

Shane O’Sullivan pointed a brilliant sideline cut on 37 minutes to stretch Ballygunner’s lead. But two points from Ian Galgey had the teams level with nine minutes to go. However three superb points from Tommy Power saw Ballygunner finish strongly.
