RACING: The chances of Davids Lad running in next Saturday's Martell Grand National at Aintree finally looked to have disappeared after yesterday's Supreme Court decision against the owners of the horse.

The four-man Eddie Joe's syndicate had been seeking an injunction putting a stay on a High Court decision, pending a full hearing from the Supreme Court.

However, that was dismissed after a two and a half hour hearing at the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon.

The High Court had previously held a 42-day Turf Club ban imposed at Naas last month that ruled Davids Lad out of the Aintree spectacular.

The horses owners secured a brief stay from the High Court on that ban but that was successfully appealed by the Turf Club.
