Dublin, Derry match sell-out

Dublin's All-Ireland quarter-final against Derry on August 11th is a sell-out. Well, technically speaking.

Around 2,000 tickets that were available yesterday morning from Ticketmaster and the GAA were snapped up within minutes. The other 80,000 have been distributed to the respective county boards.

This includes Armagh and Roscommon, who meet in the Nicky Rackard Cup final, and Cork, who play Derry in the minor football quarter-final at 11.30am also at Croke Park.

"All other tickets for the event will be distributed through county boards in the participating counties," read a GAA statement. "It is not expected that there will be any further sale of tickets for the event as it is unlikely that there will be any returns from the respective counties."

The GAA have also confirmed stand tickets for Sunday's All-Ireland hurling quarter-final replay between Waterford and Cork are €45, as the semi-final between Kilkenny and Wexford is on the same bill.

Quarter-final prices are 35, but the tiered system gives preference to the semi-final.

This will also be the case for the Kerry v Monaghan football quarter-final as it is before the other hurling semi-final on August 12th.
