Old Wesley v Malone

Defeat has dogged Old Wesley since the start of the season, but last week they showed signs that they may be about to break new ground and win a competitive match. Malone's notoriously fickle away record should facilitate the home side.

Skerries v DLSP

Both teams are capable of beating anyone in the division, especially at home, but neither are capable of sustaining that form over a season. The venue (Holmpatrick) may prove decisive.

Buccaneers v Sunday's Well

The might of the Connacht side's 10man game versus the more rounded Cork team. The Well's fortunate draw against UCC last week suggests Murray Kidd still has plenty of work to do. Buccaneers to grind their way to success.

Galwegians v City of Derry

The division already resembles a contest as to who will finish second to Galwegians. Derry might have had a chance at home, but their journey south seems doomed.

Monkstown v Wanderers

The visitors harbour more realistic ambitions of success this season. Monkstown have started poorly and, unfortunately for them, won't enjoy much festive cheer when they slip to a third successive defeat.

Greystones v Instonians

The Wicklow club have started solidly, but crucially with two victories, and a third today would establish their right to dispute the promotion stakes. Instonians, though they possess several fine players, are generally brittle, especially on their travels.

UCC v Bective Rangers

The Students served notice of their ability by holding Sunday's Well to a draw; indeed, the width of a post prevented a fine victory. Bective have parted company with their coach, Harry Williams, the first stage of a double disappointment this weekend.
