Death of Alan Tolerton

The death has occurred in Dublin of Alan Tolerton, the Monkstown Hockey Club coach and former Ireland, Ulster, Lisnagarvey and Friends School forward. He gained 42 international caps in the 197076 era, making his debut, aged 19, against Wales. Monkstown's Leinster Senior League match against YMCA today has been called off and the club's annual dinner tonight has been cancelled. A memorial service will be held in Rathmichael Parish Church tomorrow afternoon (3.0).
