Cork stay in title hunt

TWO stunning second half goals from on loan striker, Dave Mawson, kept fourth placed Cork City in the championship race at Whitehall on Saturday night.

Home Farm had the better of the first half, but Dave Barry switched positions with new signing, Mark Herrick, who came inside from a that seemed to work the oracle for "Cork in the second half.

Mawson shot them in front from 12 yards after Ollie Cahill's cross broke to him off a defender in the 67th minute. Three minutes later Mawson had all the time in the world to volley home at the back post from skipper Gareth Cronin's free kick from the left.
