Glengarriff golf club will host the Maureen O'Hara/Charles Blair Golf Classic from June 24th to 26th. The annual classic was the brainchild of O'Hara, one of Ireland's most famous actresses, who established the event in memory of her late husband and also to highlight Glengarriff as a tourist attraction. Murphy's Irish Stout will sponsor the event. The women's competition will take place on June 24th and 25th with the men's on June 26th and 27th.

The Garda Siochana Boat Club Classic will take place at Westmanstown on Thursday, June 24th, while the Clare GAA supporters club will hold their ninth annual classic at Hollystown on Friday June 11th.
