Irish jockey David Casey has landed the plum job as first jockey to the top Lambourn trainer Oliver Sherwood.

The 23 year old from Waterford, who has been attached to Willie Mullins' stable, will move to England in the next couple of weeks. Casey plans to return to Ireland for the Tralee and Listowel festivals and hopes to continue riding Charlie Swan's steeplechasers on Sundays.
