Sir, - As I sit in my car with my three passengers each morning in the endless traffic jam that is the Harolds Cross Road, I note that the bus lane on my left is empty of traffic - including buses. While the idea of bus lanes is very good, it does need the odd bus here and there to make it successful. Rendering one third of a busy road off-limits to cars when we don't have the public transport to fill it is not very efficient. Dublin Bus should either get more buses or forfit exclusive rights to the bus lanes.
