Madam,- Mary Mullen (Opinion, September 5th) in her staunch criticism of her fellow Alaskan Sarah Palin, claims that it is only the Democrats, and not the Republicans, who do anything for people with Down Syndrome and other disabilities.
This is a most remarkable claim to make in the light of decades of successful Democrat pressure to legalise abortion in cases where the unborn child has a disability such as Down Syndrome and thus, it is claimed, would not enjoy an appropriate "quality of life". - Yours, etc,
