Madam, – In 1969, a small number of volunteers, mostly students from Trinity College and UCD, began providing food to people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Dublin. That marked the beginning of the Simon Community in Ireland, and next month we are planning a series of events to mark the 40th anniversary.
