Madam, – I have for a long time hoped that, at least some of the corrupt bankers/abusive priests would be convicted for their crimes and that their superiors who condoned their actions would also be brought to book.
However, I am beginning to think that this is no longer a good idea. Taking recent statements from the higher-ups in both organisations into account, we, the customers/parishioners, will probably be expected to do any jail time imposed.
What next? Will our Government impose a levy on PAYE workers, to raise funds to compensate Willie O’Dea and Trevor Sargent for the reduction in their salaries after their resignation as ministers? – Yours, etc,
