Madam, - P. Thompson (November 6th) was greatly disappointed to discover sectarianism in a Dublin pub. Let him be in no doubt that sectarianism is very much alive and well in the Republic of Ireland, but is much more disguised and at a much more subtle level than in Northern Ireland. Sectarianism, of course, extends to more than religion and can include areas such as race and sexuality. - Yours, etc.,
