It said that in April 2005 the Dublin Airport Authority raised parking charges by 50 per cent, and in November 2007 raised them by 50 per cent again.

It then compared this "100 per cent rise in car park charges" with Bertie's 14 per cent pay increase.

Of course this double hike in car park charges is actually a 125 per cent increase so, comparatively speaking, Bertie's increase looks even cheaper. - Yours, etc,

Madam- It is interesting that a company as obsessed with prices and percentages as Ryanair should equate two incremental price increases of 50 per cent to a total increase of 100 per cent.

Is this indicative of the current state of our "knowledge economy"? - Yours, etc,
