Sir, - Go on, admit it. Is there not something just a trifle sleazy about The Irish Times giving an opportunity to so-called entrepreneurs to use your Personal Columns as a medium to sell rugby international tickets? According to a report in your sports pages (February 23rd), stand tickets for the match against England are fetching up to £600 each.
If all newspapers, including your own, cut off this particular black market outlet, there might be a chance that genuine supporters would have access to more match tickets than are currently available to them.
Then again, perhaps your advertising people make a distinction between the sheepskin coat brigade and the humble spiv? - Yours, etc., Louis Hogan,
