Sir, - Tom Humphries (Sport, August 13th) obviously enjoyed the clash last Sunday between Wexford and Tipperary, as did I and many other hurling fans. Despite the "legal deficencies" of omitting the last 45 seconds, the draw "represented a sort of moral justice", and "both teams deserved another day".

Incredibly, the Wexford manager was glad that his team did not steal a last minute point as it would have been "sheer larceny"! I live in the vicinity of Croke Park and am facing a third consecutive weekend of Saturday and Sunday fixtures. I regard the GAA as being deficient and immoral in its introduction of Saturday fixtures, which represent sheer larceny of local residents' free time. - Yours, etc.,
