Sir, - Will tin-openers survive only in museums? Both beans and tuna suppliers have changed over to ring-pull containers and this surely means redundancy for what was once the most useful kitchen utensil.

The whole tin-opener industry is at risk; it needs your help and support. We will all miss the wrist exercise, the challenge of getting the goodies out and the odd loss of blood in the process.
