Madam, - In light of the recent attempted robberies on post offices in Dublin, I would urge my fellow citizens to join the Garda Reserve. Imagine the message it would send to the criminal classes if vast numbers of ordinary decent Dubliners stood in solidarity with An Garda Síochána. By joining the Garda Reserve, fellow Dubliners would free up more gardaí to patrol the streets and just as importantly, send a tough message to the criminals that they will not be tolerated. - Yours, etc,
