Sir, - Mr Hill's knowledge (July 8th) that the Ark of the Covenant is buried at Tara is, according to himself, divinely inspired.

The Discovery Programme, in contrast, has acquired its knowledge that the Ark is not buried at Tara by more earthly means i.e. archaeological and historical research to the highest academic standards. - Yours, etc., Mairead Carew,
