Sir, - I am angered by the unjust treatment of our champion swimmer, Michelle Smith de Bruin. She is a great sports-person. I admire her achievements, respect her modesty in her success, her simplicity of style.
I wish her very well in the appalling ordeal she (like others before her) has been put through. She is being judged by anybody and everybody without fair trial. It seems that jealousy hovers around those who dare to achieve, attempting to suck them down. - Yours, etc.,
