Madam, – Like many others, I am in arrears with my mortgage payments for five months now. I have been in steady contact with my lender AIB for the duration but all the communication is from me and not from it.
In addition, in the last five-month period I have not received any information from my lender on the MARP (Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process) and as such it is in breach of the Central Bank’s Mortgage Arrears Code. I am tired of listening to the same line from politicians, etc. telling mortgage customers in arrears to engage with their lenders when lenders are clearly not doing their part, particularly as I really want to reach a resolution with them. – Yours, etc,
