Sir, - Emmet Oliver's "Irishmans Diary" of June 16th stated, among other things: "Joyce lived for a short time in the tower", and "living in the tower seemed to animate Joyce". James Joyce "lived" there for seven nights. Calling it Joyce's Tower is a bit of a misnomer, but how many tourists are going to get on the DART to see Gogarty's Tower? -Yours, etc.,
Foylesprings,
Derry.
