Sir, - We are informed that the Catholic Archbishop of Armagh believes that proposed changes to the Common Agricultural Policy are excessive (The Irish Times, February 19th). I seem to recall that only a few weeks ago the president of the Irish Countrywomen's Association was inspired to comment on the Catholic Bishops' statement on inter-communion.
Is this a sign of a new multidisciplinary approach on the part of the leaders of our society, or do they simply want each other's jobs? - Yours, etc., David P. Boyle,
Croydon Park Avenue, Marino, Dublin 3.
