Sir, – Now that Covid is showing signs of loosening its grip on us, surely it is time to heed the World Health Organisation’s call and redouble our efforts to get vaccines to the developing world.
The humanitarian argument is strong, and so is self-interest in that new variants may come from countries where vaccination rates are lower.
It is shaming to read of vaccines going to waste in rich countries while many poor countries – in Africa in particular – are crying out for vaccines. – Yours, etc,
