Sir, – I passed Enniskillen/St Angelo airport on Friday afternoon and again on Sunday afternoon. There were three Lear Jet type aircraft and sea-plane, a couple of small fixed-wing aircraft and a number of helicopters parked on the tarmac. Enniskillen is around 20 miles from Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.
Having known a transplant was in the offing (“Girl misses transplant after airlift failure”, Front page, July 4th), surely it was within the HSE’s power and remit to explore the possibility of putting on standby the hire of air transport from Enniskillen to London? – Yours, etc,
