Sir, - With reference to Mr Joe Hackett's letter (June 18th) re four wheel drive vehicles. As a supplier of one of the more successful models available new on the Irish market, I would like to explain that most sales are to people in the following categories,
1. People who use them to advertise their companies and double over as a second car in the family. 2. People who need them to draw heavy trailers, like horse boxes etc. 3. People who can afford to have a vehicle that is fun to drive both on and off road.
Perhaps if Mr Hackett would like to see more of them going through their paces he should contact any of the four x four clubs that organise all day trials on off road tracks for a really good day out. - Yours, etc., Joe Harvey,
Glasthule Road,
