Sir, – Further to "Spring clean: 13 ways to spruce up your home" (Homes, February 27th), any professional window cleaners who have worked with me use a small amount of eco-friendly washing-up liquid and white vinegar mixed into water. Advising Windowlene plus a new microfibre cloth for each window is really hard on our already damaged environment. Newspapers, including The Irish Times, are great for shining washed windows. – Yours, etc,
