Madam, – I was somewhat amused to read Fianna Fáil Kildare TD Seán Power’s analysis of Brian Cowen’s leadership of the party: “People are disappointed to varying degrees and some are very disappointed indeed” (Breaking News, July 5th).
I imagine Mr Power would describe some of the steerage passengers on board the RMS Titanic as being “wet to varying degrees and some are very wet indeed”.
