Sir, - If the Government and the "pro-life" movement are so concerned about saving children's lives, perhaps they could cancel the proposed abortion referendum and donate the millions saved to the 100,000 children who the UN says will die from starvation in the next year.
They could save more lives in a day than will ever be saved under this unnecessary proposal. - Yours, etc.,
