A Chara, - I read (The Irish Times, September 1st) that some former students of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland are annoyed at being discommoded by President Clinton's visit. Without commenting on the merits of their complaint, I must say that as an Irish republican I find the title of their parent organisation insulting.
This is a republic - by Constitution and the will of the people determined - and an organisation based here which still proclaims the imprimatur of British royalty is incompatible with that political fact. - Is mise,
