Closure of rural post offices

A chara, – It seems silly to try and argue that closing rural post offices is not an attack on rural Ireland. Everyone knows that closing a post office in a rural location is seriously detrimental to the quality of life in that area and undermines its future viability. Claiming that there is no intent to “attack” these communities is irrelevant; the destruction wrought is the same whether it is done maliciously or with a wringing of the hands while affecting regret. – Is mise,
