Sir, - Rory O'Hanlon (October 23rd) makes the same assumption, as many of his persuasion, that God is owned by the Roman Catholic Church.
Aristotle and his associates were not Catholics. Most ancient cultures recognised nature as the work of a supreme being. It is regrettable that God has been misappropriated by so many institutions - religious and otherwise.
I do believe the Law of God supersedes all human laws. However, recognising the superiority of God over the Irish Constitution does not mean that the Roman Magesterium, or any other group, has the superior ruling. - Yours, etc.,
Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
