Madam, - One can only assume that it is very cold in that ivory tower Colm Kellaghan (Letters, June 5th) resides in. The rest of us have to make do with bungalows to house our loved ones in.
Shame on us who want to raise our children in the countryside free from the stress, strain and the dangers of city life. Shame on the people who want to live in the place where they grew up and who want to develop the small towns of the west of Ireland with silly things like jobs, infrastructure and the like. We must be seriously lacking in national pride and cultural conscience. - Yours, etc,
JIMMY O'BRIEN, Drumcliff, Co Sligo.
