Madam, – The recent brouhaha regarding Morgan Kelly’s soothsaying (Opinion, May 7th) set me thinking. As a country, having lived through Ireland’s “economic boom”, we now appear to be living through Ireland’s “economist boom”. It’s impossible to switch on the television, radio or internet, never mind open a newspaper, without being confronted by one of the creatures jabbering incessantly about money. I’m not so sure about my fellow citizens, but I for one cannot wait for this particular boom to go bust. – Yours, etc,
