A chara, - Your columnist Ruth Dudley Edwards writes (Opinion, December 21st): "Every week the pages of An Phoblacht/Republican News spew out hatred of Protestants but cloak it in impeccable non-sectarian rhetoric." Ruth Dudley Edwards is a regular reader of our newspaper and she has made comments like this in the past. Always, as in this instance, they are throwaway lines, made without evidence to back them up, because that evidence doesn't exist.
