Madam, – Here’s an idea: our Government bails out Liverpool Football Club. It’s a venerable (off-shore) “Anglo-Irish” institution; literally and figuratively “in the red” on account of shafting its own client-base and selling out to American-style profiteering.
At a mere £300-odd million, though, can we be bothered? And would we be able to ensure that the present management stay on to continue their marvellous work for the club? – Yours, etc,
