Sir, - I'm looking for information and photos of two Irishmen who were awarded Congressional Medals of Honour at the battle of the Little Bighorn on June 25th, 1876, (in Major Remo's command).
Private Thomas J. Callan was born in Louth in 1854 and died in Yonkers, NY, in 1908. The medal was issued in October, 1896. Sergeant Thomas Murray was born in Co Monaghan in 1836. The medal was issued in October, 1878. Both men served in Company "B", 7th Cavalry. - Yours, etc., Gabriel Donohoe,
