A chara, – The messages on the end of e-mails sent from smartphones, along the lines of: “This was sent to you from my iPhone / Samsung / Blackberry” are surely a sinister form of free advertising.

Is it right when a company has already received money from the purchase of the device that it is able to truncate someone’s private communication, promoting itself without even asking explicitly for consent to do so?

In an era when the Point has become the O2, Lansdowne Road the Aviva, surely some protection could be put in place so that we could at least communicate with each other using the only the words we choose? – Is mise,
