Sir, – I salute our young people for how they sacrificed so much during this pandemic to help protect more vulnerable members of our society.
According to EU data, Ireland lags other EU nations in bank holidays, and the Government is considering the possibility of introducing a new bank holiday in September. I suggest we dedicate this bank holiday to our young citizens so that we will always appreciate their importance in society. – Yours, etc,
