Sir, – The Irish Times has reported on the annual conferences of representative bodies of gardaí, teachers and nurses, usually with the respective senior Ministers in attendance.
Many attendees continue to highlight the accommodation crisis for their members.
Before next year’s conferences, it might be informative if the representative bodies were to ask their members, under 30 and working in Dublin, the following questions.
How many persons are you sharing accommodation with and what rent are you paying?
The Irish Times view on Trump’s tariffs: a turning point in economic history
How many Ciara O’Briens does it take to start taking personal data seriously?
The sudden, surprising rise of beard transplants: ‘This industry is a wild west’
‘Mad time and effort’: LinkedIn superuser status is not for the faint-hearted
What is your commute time to and from work?
Are you consider emigrating or finding a new job?
And for those who have left in the past few years, would they return if they were guaranteed affordable and reasonably located accommodation? – Yours, etc,
PASCHAL TAGGART,
Dublin 6.
