An editorial in the edition of June 12th stated that 3,500 employees have applied for early retirement from the civil service. In fact, only 300 have so far applied but the Department of Finance has extrapolated from this that between 3,000 and 3,500 from the public sector as a whole will apply in due course.
An article in last Monday’s edition, concerning the Aldeburgh Festival, said that the festival ended last Sunday. In fact, it continues until June 28th.
