In the edition of July 16th last, an article headed ’Council’s planning decisions causing some concern on Rosslare Strand’ concerning an application by Brendan Hickey to Wexford County Council, wrongly attributed attendance at a planning meeting to Mr Marcus Linehan concerning a particular application. We apologise to Mr Linehan for so suggesting and for any hurt caused.

An article in the edition of November 30th last, concerning proceedings in the High Court, stated that Seosamh Ó Daimhin (Joseph Devine) said in evidence that “he had not sat down one day and worked out a plan to cheat the public but had gone through a period of his life when he was under severe financial pressure”. In fact, this was said about Mr Ó Daimhin by counsel for the Law Society. Mr Ó’Daimhin’s counsel is preparing documents for an appeal to the Supreme Court.
