Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle pleaded guilty to child-pornography charges six weeks after his Indiana home was raided by law enforcement.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation and Indiana State Police went into Fogle's home and removed electronics last month following the arrest in May of a former executive director of Fogle's foundation.

Fogle pleaded guilty on Wednesday in Indianapolis federal court to two counts, including conspiracy to distribute and receive visual depictions of minors. Fogle was released as he awaits sentencing.

Fogle shot his first Subway commercial in 2000 and became a prominent spokesman for the sandwich chain. The ads highlighted his personal story of losing weight on a diet primarily consisting of the company’s sandwiches.

Fogle started the Jared Foundation, which raises money to fight the spread of childhood obesity, in 2006.

Subway cut ties with Fogle after law enforcement raided his home.

“We have already ended our relationship with Jared and have no further comment,” Subway said in a statement.
