A 61-year-old woman was treated for shock after her Belfast home was the target of a petrol bomb attack last night.

A 61-year-old woman was treated for shock after her Belfast home was the target of a petrol bomb attack last night.

The woman was in bed watching television when a breeze block was thrown through the living room window of her home in North Parade Belfast at around 11 p.m.

A petrol bomb was then thrown but it hit the frame of the broken window and landed outside the house causing minor damage.

Police have described the incident as "very sectarian in nature".
